AU - Dean VS Dalek

└ Dean has faced demons and even the Devil. So an alien with a whisk and a plunger isn’t going to scare him.

“Dean, I accidentally teamed up with the Daleks!”

‘DAMN IT SAMMY!”

lmfao!

During the filming of Dark Passage, Lauren Bacall had hurt the feelings of cameraman, Sid Hickox after of a comment made about the way he filmed one of the scenes. So director Delmer Daves decided to show Bacall that she knew less about film making than she was beginning to believe.

“I decided to teach Betty a lesson. We lined up for her last scene in the film- one in which Bogie is suposed to telephone her from a bus depot and she gets the call in her apartment. Since it was an important scene, she was anticipating a big close-up, but I told her we were going to photograph her from the back so that the audience could imagine what was going on in her mind. ‘With my back to the camera?’ she said. Tears came into her eyes, but she was a great sport about it and rehearsed it, even though her voice was trembling and she was fighting to hold back the tears. That broke me up and I relented. ‘For God’s sake, Betty, we’re lit for the front,’ I told her . ‘I just wanted to teach you a lesson because you were so cruel to Sid’ ‘I know I was.’ Tears started to come into her eyes, which was just perfect, and that’s how we shot the scene. A few minutes later Bogie came on the set. He saw her sobbing and followed her to her dressing room. When it was time for him to come on set, he had on his great Bogie face- no emotion. Usually, he was a one-take actor, but this time he kept blowing his lines and apologizing. We finally got the scene after eight takes and Bogie came over and said ‘I’m sorry about letting you down but you know what was bothering me. Betty told me what happened, and the kid can still break me up. But I think you did the right thing. Maybe she was getting a bit too big in the britches.’ “

-Delmer Daves, director of Dark Passage.

I am opening up portrait commissions!  They come in 3 varieties:

LEVEL A: Rough linework + accent color. $10!

This level accents underdraw and sketch characteristics. You can decide if you want it a solid single color (three) or color highlights (one, two).

examples: ONE, TWO, THREE

LEVEL B: Clean linework + fill color. $20!

This level tidies up lines and fleshes out color in two or three layers of shading. You can decide if you want the underdraw/sketch visible (one, twoo) or removed (three).

examples: ONE, TWO, THREE

LEVEL C: Elle goes insane. $30!

This level involves bold lineart and a great deal more color work. You can pick a color range for me if you want me to get really wild (one, two) or take it easy (three).

examples: ONE, TWO, THREE

Two character concepts from a story I’m stitching together out of two old ones. It doesn’t even have a working title right now but its basically in an alternate modern-day where magic use is a rare genetic trait

“The U.S. government, after forcing magic-users onto reservations crosses the line with new taxes and sanctions and an uprising forces a stand-off between power magic users and armed forces. Each side solicits help from two of the most powerful witches in the entire world.”

I want the story to mainly focus on these two witches, their powers (which I still need to work out), and why they take the respective sides that they do:

Bordeux Singh is an Indian-French citizen who’s got a huge ego and a large main-stream following, as she does many late-night and morning talk show interviews. She takes the side of the American government in working to subduing the rebelling magic users.

Rudolf Rosenthal is a Canadian citizen who’s much more shy and reserved and despite her tattoos, scars, and clothing is fairly meek and somewhat shy. She’s only written a few books on magic but otherwise doesn’t like the attention. She takes the side of the antagonized American magic users.
